The heart of Caravanserraglio is the “Little Family” that consists of Ennio, Phaedra and Sita.       
 
 

Ennio originally comes from Milan, and lived for many years in Tuscany. After having travelled around the world for his work with -horses- Ennio organized different “Agriturismi” in Tuscany. In 1992 he decided to start a new adventure: he settled down at Serrapetrona and that’s how Caravanserraglio was born. He transformed the property in a beautiful place to receive guests. Phaedra is the one that will welcome you at Caravanserraglio and will help you at your arrival. She is a Dutch arthistorian specialized in Italian Gothic and Renaissance art. Phaedra is happy to give you information about the historical sites and the artworks in the area. Sita is nine years old, she sings, dances, plays and brings joy in every situation.

 

The animals that live with us will help you to get into the rhythm of Nature. Shamar is an Arabic thoroughbred and the only surviving horse of a big stable. The black dogs Neo and Gioia are the guardians of the house. Our cat –Zuby is a sleepy-head who every day enjoys on a new spot the sun, the wind and the peacefulness that surrounds her.
